Zoo Do!

Get up close and personal

This summer we are opening the zoo gates after hours, giving you more opportunity to see your favourite animals. On the 19th August our Zoo Do! fundraising event returns. Here at the project, we are proud supporters of four fantastic animal charities!

VulPro

Supporting rescue, rehabilitation, rerelease and breeding of vultures in Africa.

AEECL

A Madagascan based charity promoting research, protection and restoring of the vital ecosystems that lemurs inhabit, collaborating with local communities and authorities to achieve a sustainable and biodiverse habitat for the future.

Bumblebee Conservation Trust

Enhancing the understanding of bumblebee ecology and conservation. Increasing the quality and quantity of bumblebee habitat. Inspiring and enabling a diverse range of people to take action for bumblebees.

The International Otter Survival Fund

IOSF is one of the world’s leading otter charities. In the UK IOSF is the only charity solely dedicated to the conservation, protection and care of otters based on years of scientific research in the UK and around the world.

The aim of these events is to raise money for these four organisations so that we can continue to support their vital conservation work.

The event will run from 6pm – 8.30pm on 19th August 2023. With a variety of different activities, food, and drink on offer. Take a ride on our Safari Trek and see the zoo from a different angle, follow the clues to see if you can find the hidden message around the zoo, a variety of displays will take place throughout the evening. Enjoy a range of hot and cold food or stop by the bar for a drink.

Try your luck and take part in our raffle, full of loads of wonderful prizes kindly donated by Kent’s local businesses! Throughout the night you will have the opportunity to put our keepers knowledge to the test and ask all the hard questions about the animals that call the project their home, as well as a host of other activities.

Not only that, but don’t forget to keep an eye out for any other special guests that may come too!

All money raised from the event will go directly to our four charities, as without the support of people just like you, they would not be able to carry out the vital conservation work that they do.

With all the health and safety measures in place, including toilets, social distancing, hand-washing stations and extra hand-sanitising stations, all you will need to do is buy a ticket, bring your family, and enjoy the evening. The bar will be serving a range of drinks; however, the restaurant areas will remain closed due to government guidelines.
